Primary sources
OTS-related primary sources. Sources by the OTS or by people who influenced the OTS.
By the OTS itself or by related people
- Paulus, Josiane; Jouret, Luc; Paulus, Jean-Léon; Pechot, Christine, Huguenin, Jacqueline (1984). Les pieds dans le plat: mais oui, on peut très bien manger sans viande Geneva: Éditions Atlanta. ISBN 2-89239-152-0.
- Found through library listings. I have not obtained a copy. Many coauthors, all of whom seem to be tied to the OTS.
- Simon-Evrat, Sylvie (1986). Une cuisine saine et gourmande. Neuchâtel: Delachaux et Niestlé. ISBN 2-603-00591-X.
- Seemingly average vegetarian dietary book, with Jouret as the preface's writer.
- Jouret, Luc (1986). Alimentation moderne et inconscience humaine. Geneva: Éditions Atlanta.
- Found through library listings. I have not obtained a copy. From its short length (21 pages), seems some kind of pamphlet rather than a book. From its title (roughly, Modern food and human unconsciousness/thoughtlessness) focuses on Jouret's typical diet-spirituality connection.
- Les Cahiers de Sarah: Survivre à l'An 2000 (in French). Toronto: Éditions Atlanta. 1986. ISBN 2-9800811-0-8, ISBN 2-9800811-1-6.
- Written by the Solar Temple. I have been unable to find a copy of this work, or even a photo of it. According to secondary sources, it is split into two volumes, one of which is survivalist and gives tips on surviving the apocalypse, with the other focusing on theological matters.
- Delaforge, Gaetan (1987). The Templar Tradition in the Age of Aquarius. Putney: Threshold Books. ISBN 0-939660-17-2.
- Written by a Solar Temple member. Copies available on Archive.org here. Written under unclear circumstances by a "Gaetan Delaforge", who is apparently a former member of the OTS who ended up surviving. Strangely enough a mildly influential book in occultist spheres. Whoever this person is, they also contributed to Gnosis magazine, where they gave a useful definition of egregore. None of the "known" survivors seem to fit the profile, so my only hypothesis is that they are an OTS survivor who maintained their privacy and whose name never made the news.
- Jouret, Luc (1992). Médecine et conscience. Montreal: Louise Courteau. ISBN 2-89239-152-0.
- The only actual book written and published fully by Jouret. I have not been able to obtain a copy, so I cannot refer to its contents. Secondary sources indicate he speaks of his war experiences to some extent, and his esoteric/diet/spiritual beliefs.
- Le Testament. 1994.
- In four parts, available translated into English in Lewis (2006).
Precursors/related
- Breyer, Jacques (1959). Arcanes Solaire: Ou, les Secrets du Temple Solaire. Paris: La Colombe.
- Alchemist book that involves predicting the end of the world. Was of some relevance to the OTS, and is the source for their name, at least indirectly. A rather interesting work.
- Peronnik (1975). Pourquoi la Resurgence de l'Ordre du Temple? Monte-Carlo: Éditions de la Pensée Solaire.
- Sets out the principles and some of the history of the Sovereign Order of the Solar Temple, a related but distinct group. The OTS took their seven principles from it. "Peronnik" is Robert Chabrier.
